Early Life & Career Start
Mohamed Salah was born in the village of Nagrig in Egypt's Nile Delta. As a teenager he made long daily journeys to train with the youth side of Al-Mokawloon, where he broke into senior football before a move to Europe with Swiss club Basel in 2012.
Club Career
Basel, Chelsea & Roma (2012–2017). Salah established himself at Basel, then joined Chelsea, where first-team chances were limited. Spells in Italy with Fiorentina (on loan) and Roma reignited his career, and his form there earned a move to Liverpool.
Liverpool (2017–present). Salah became one of the Premier League's most prolific forwards, winning multiple Golden Boots and developing into one of Liverpool's greatest-ever players. He won the UEFA Champions League (2019) and the Premier League (2019–20 and 2024–25), among other honours. In 2026 he announced he would leave the club at the end of the 2025–26 season.
